Perch is built to keep your data on your Mac. This page describes the little that ever leaves it. Effective date: August 18, 2026.
Your files, screenshots, clipboard history, snippets, voice recordings and their transcripts are stored locally and are never uploaded. Speech recognition runs entirely on-device. Voice recordings are deleted right after transcription.
Text polishing and AI tools. When you use them, the text being processed is sent over TLS to our server (perch.p-p.ai) and relayed to an AI model (Google Gemini). We do not store this text; Google processes it under its API terms.
Licensing. The app sends an anonymous device identifier to manage your trial and subscription. No name, no email, no usage analytics.
Payments. Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card. Stripe shares with us only your email and subscription status.
Updates. The app checks perch.p-p.ai for new versions; the request contains no personal data.
You can delete all local data by removing Perch and its folder in Application Support. To delete your license record, email us.
